"Smitties"
With over 200 tugboats, Smit is one of the largest tugboat companies in the world and is probably best know for its 3 massive, deepsea salvage tugs
which range from 14,000 to 20,000 horsepower. The Four Smit tugs depicted in "Smitties" are much smaller (1,000 to 2,000 horsepower) but hard workering
all the same. This foreshortened image shows them moored in New
Westminster, BC, at the end of a long Summer's day ship docking on the
Fraser River
